Ellen Menshew, Chair Our hearts are with the people of Venezuela as they face the devastating aftermath of the recent earthquakes. Families have lost loved ones, homes, and access to essential services, and many communities are in urgent need of support. As Democrats we support these efforts. Congress and previous administrations have always supported goals that include promoting democratic institutions and protecting human rights in Venezuela. The Venezuelan people, victims of these horrific earthquakes need our help.
