For many of us who historically have not been politically active, choosing to “speak up and act” may seem a daunting task. Yet there is so much outrageousness being perpetrated by the Trump Administration, there is bound to be a moment for each person that triggers a desire to act, and causes them to think, ‘but what can I do?’

Even small elections can matter in a big way

With myriad news stories raining down on us every day, both nationally and locally, it would be easy to miss the Clallam Conservation District’s (CCD) election for a Board Supervisor. After all, you have to request a ballot, there is no voters’ pamphlet, and, like so many little boards, organizations, and entities, why should we care? One reason: even the smallest local election matters.
